Anal Play

anal-sex

Even the words anal play can make some people cringe. Anal play is often associated with a homosexual relationship and because there has been so much hatred and shame towards homosexuals, heterosexual cis men shy away from anything to do with the anus in fear that they will be called ‘gay’. Men can sometimes doubt their sexual orientation when they realise they enjoy anal action. Firstly Let me state this loud and clear there is nothing wrong with being gay or being homosexual. It’s society that has caused hatred towards people for their sexual preferences. Your sexuality and sexual preference should not be something to be ashamed of or something for other people to judge. And secondly engaging in anal play does not make you gay! First off its none of your damn business who anyone else takes to bed and it’s definitely not something that should be on a job application. I mean come on how was sexual preference ever aloud to reach being on a job application form! What the fuck has who you shag got to do with your work or how you perform a job! NOTHING, NA-DA! It’s discrimination plain and simple!

What is anal play?

OK, so what is anal play? Anal play is any kind of sexual activity that involves your bum. It can be using fingers around or inside the butt, it can be using your mouth around or inside the butt and it can also be penetration.

Some popular terms you might have come to know:

Rimming

Rimming also known as analingus, or rim job is a form of oral sex on the anus. The mouth, lips, and tongue are used to stimulate a partner's anus.

Pegging

Pegging is when a woman wears a strap on dildo and penetrates her partner anally.

Get Educated

The anus has glands that when stimulated can create a lot of pleasure for both penis and vulva owners. Not only does the anus have really sensitive nerve endings it is actually anatomically configured for sensational orgasms for men and women. The male G-Spot, known as the prostate, and the female cul-de-sac, that wonderfully sexy region on the lower vaginal wall, can be stimulated through the back door. Your anus is also one of the most responsive erogenous zones on your body, so it’s no wonder it can bring you so much pleasure.

There’s nothing dirty about the anus

As long as you are managing basic hygiene, your anus isn't dirty. The anus doesn't require soap to stay clean, just water and wiping. Soaps and shampoos can irritate or dry out the sensitive skin of your anus so less is more! Read more on anal care here.

It’s not naturally lubricated

Because your butt is not naturally lubricated the anus can tear easily. For this reason you need to use lot’s of lube. The best lube to use for anal play is artificial water based lube. Using an oil-based lube, can damage latex condoms. Remember anal sex should not hurt if it does, stop!

Anal play and STI’s

There is a higher risk of getting an STI with anal play so you should always use condoms to reduce the risk. Also, don't move from the butt to the vagina without giving the penis, finger or toy a proper wash. And always change the condom if you are switching from anal to vaginal penetration. Bacteria living around the anus can cause vaginal infections.
